Incredible and strange black ammonite fossil, with a natural base formed by petrification over millions of years.

The ammonite turns black due to a mineralization process involving pyrite or carbon. The carbon or pyrite atoms replace each of the atoms in the ammonite's original body. This fossilization process takes millions of years.

Symbolism:

The ammonite is a symbol of transformation, resilience, and inner strength.

History:

Ammonites are fossils of snail-like animals that lived millions of years ago on the planet, in various areas that were once covered by oceans. They had large tentacles attached to their heads, like modern squid, which they used to capture their prey.

Based on the fossil record, ammonites had a wide range of sizes and shapes, from the smallest at 2.5 centimeters to the largest at 2.7 meters wide.

Ammonites came to an end 66 million years ago, perishing, like the dinosaurs, in a mass extinction event caused by the collision of a 12-kilometer-wide asteroid with the planet...

Their bodies were buried and over a mineralogical process of millions of years they fossilized, thus transforming into a majestic combination of quartz, stones and various minerals inside.

Most ammonites are currently found in different deserts of the planet, which in other times were great oceans.
