Tumbaga is a metal that the ancient indigenous goldsmiths of America used to make their jewelry. Formerly its composition was a mixture of gold and copper. Currently the tumbaga found on the market is a mixture of 85% copper + 15% zinc. That is why its color tends to be more reddish and brass more yellow.

With the natural oxidation process, after 15 days you will be able to see the metal darken or dull, turning the color of bronze. For this reason, we recommend polishing it every 15 days or at least once a month. In this way it will regain its golden color and shine like the first time. It can be polished countless times and the jewel will last forever.
