Each piece is unique, as it is molded and finished by hand, so slight variations may exist, making each ring special.
What is tumbaga?
Tumbaga was a metal widely used by various pre-Columbian cultures in Mesoamerica, Central America, and South America. Originally, it was an alloy of gold and copper, valued for its beauty, strength, and ease of workability, and was used to craft jewelry, ornaments, and ceremonial objects.
Currently, the tumbaga used in artisan jewelry is usually made with a different composition. This ring is made with an alloy of 85% copper and 15% zinc, which retains the characteristic warm tone reminiscent of antique gold, in addition to offering excellent strength and durability for daily wear.
