The meaning of opal
Since ancient times, opal has been considered a stone associated with creativity, inspiration, and hope. Its extraordinary play of colors symbolizes change, transformation, and light.
Materials:
950 silver setting. Stainless steel chain.
Measurements:
Opal measurements: 8 millimeters long x 5 millimeters wide.
Pendant measurements: 1.4 cm long x 5 mm wide.
Care:
Ethiopian opals are hydrophanes, meaning they easily absorb liquids and can lose their play of color and become white and pale. For this reason, please follow the recommendations below:
- Avoid wetting the stone unnecessarily. Although occasional contact with water does not usually damage it, it is advisable not to wear it when bathing, swimming, or practicing water sports.
- Do not expose it for prolonged periods to perfumes, body creams, chlorine, detergents, alcohol, acetone, or other chemical products, as they can affect the shine of the stone and the silver.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature and excessive heat.
- Do not use ultrasonic cleaners or steam machines.
- Clean it only with a soft, dry cloth after use.
- Store the jewelry separately, preferably in a pouch or case, to avoid scratches from other pieces.
Silver cleaning:
To clean silver, you can use metal polishing paste, for example: white or black dialux, and a microfiber cloth. Rub until the silver color is restored.
